For a long time, my professional life was growing. I was thriving on the outside — holding responsibilities, meeting deadlines, creating impact. But deep inside… I was suffocating.
I felt trapped.Surrounded by success, but disconnected from my own essence.I was present for everyone — except myself.
I would wake up and answer emails from bed.Drive to the office with my kids in the backseat, but be mentally absent — already on work calls, solving problems before 8AM.My work phone was on 24/7. Even on holidays. I kept giving. Giving. Giving…Until one day, I realised: I was no longer flying my own plane.I had handed over the controls of my life. And I got sick.
The more available I became to everything and everyone…the more I disconnected from myself. All I wanted was to sleep. To eat. To survive the day.Not even being with my family — my anchor — gave me joy anymore. I had nothing left.
That was my wake-up call.I knew I needed to return to the cockpit of my life.To take back the controls. And find out why I had fallen so far off course.
It wasn’t just physical.It was emotional.And spiritual.
I started asking myself:
Why am I sick?
What is my body trying to tell me?
What led me here?
And how can I turn this around?
Because I don’t want to just survive.I want to live — truly live.I want to live long enough to watch my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren bloom. And I want to be present with them when they do.
But here’s the thing no one tells you:Rest, reflection, slowing down — they felt so foreign to me.And when I did allow myself time for me, I felt guilty. As if I was doing something wrong.
It took time.It took small, consistent choices. One hour of daily movement.Meal prep that nourished me instead of depleting me.Moments of stillness.Learning to say “no” without apology.
And slowly, I started to see the results — not just in how I felt, but in my medical exams. My body began to heal.My energy started coming back.My light returned.
I realised: Investing in myself is not a luxury. It is a necessity. It’s what brought me back to life.
I moved from simply surviving — eating, sleeping, feeling lost — to taking ownership again.Because life cannot just be about running like a hamster on a wheel, waiting for 22 days of annual leave… only to be told when you can or cannot take them.I wasn’t afraid of responsibility. What scared me was feeling like I had no choice. As if my life didn’t belong to me.
That’s when coaching found me.At the time, I only signed up for certification because I wanted tools to work better in teams.I never imagined I’d leave the world of Social Development and enter the world of Personal Development. But it changed everything.
Coaching gave me the mindset, clarity and courage to take responsibility for my life — not just in theory, but in practice. It was a complete mindset shift.
And that’s exactly what I bring to my clients today:💡 Tools for clarity.🌱 Gentle, powerful guidance.
🗺 A way back to themselves.
You see, sometimes we’re so deep in our routine — in our emotional exhaustion — that we can’t see a way out.We need someone to hold the light for us until we remember the way.And that’s the space I hold for others.
Over time, I also integrated hypnotherapy into my practice.Because sometimes, we’re trapped by limiting beliefs that we don’t even realise are there.Beliefs that quietly whisper:
“You don’t deserve this.”
“It’s not for you.”
“You’re being selfish.”
“You’re not enough.”
Coaching helps us grow with awareness.Hypnotherapy helps us break free from what’s hidden deep in the subconscious — those quiet saboteurs we don’t even notice but which shape everything.
Now let me ask you:Who is flying your plane right now?
Are you in control… or simply following a path you didn’t choose?
What direction is your life headed in?Are you even in the cockpit… or asleep in the back seat?
Maybe today is the day you stop and ask:✨ What if I gave myself permission to be my own priority?✨ What if I chose me — not later, but now?
If this post resonates with you, I invite you to take one small step.Book a discovery session. No pressure. No strings.Just space. For you.
Because sometimes, the most radical thing we can do…is come home to ourselves.
